Background:
Our company was approached by a customer who needed a Development of an IoT tracker Board for their logistics business. The customer wanted a compact and reliable device that could track the location of their delivery vehicles and provide real-time data on their whereabouts. The device needed to be able to connect to the internet via cellular networks and have a long battery life.
Challenges:
One of the main challenges of the project was to design a compact circuit board that could fit within the limited space available in the customer’s delivery vehicles. Additionally, the device needed to have a long battery life to minimize the frequency of recharging or replacing the batteries. The device also needed to have a reliable internet connection to transmit the location data in real-time.
Solution:
To address these challenges, our team of experienced electronics engineers began by researching various cellular modules and GPS modules that could provide a reliable internet connection and accurate location tracking. After evaluating several options, we decided to use the Quectel BG96 cellular module and the UBLOX MAX-M8Q GPS module.
To minimize the power consumption and extend the battery life, we used the Texas Instruments TPS63030 DC-DC converter to optimize the power management of the device. We also incorporated a deep sleep mode that could be activated when the device is not in use, further reducing power consumption.
The final design of the circuit board was compact and efficient, meeting the customer’s requirements for size and battery life. The device was successfully tested and deployed in the customer’s delivery vehicles, providing real-time location tracking and data on the whereabouts of the vehicles.
Outcome:
The Development of IoT tracker board developed by our team was a massive success for the customer’s logistics business. The device provided accurate and real-time location tracking of the delivery vehicles, improving the efficiency and speed of their operations. In addition, We extremely satisfied the customer with the performance of the device and have since placed multiple orders for additional units. This project served as a great example of our company’s ability to understand the customer’s requirements and deliver a high-quality, custom-designed solution that exceeded their expectations.
